Detection reasons
Angles
Angles reasons look at view angles that a normal mouse can't reach or produce.
What it means
A mouse turns the view smoothly and keeps it within the normal range. Angles reasons appear when the view flipped upside down, left the normal range, turned sharply with no mouse movement, or snapped away and straight back.
Anti-aim and silent aim features set the view directly. Most of these reasons are rules.
Unusual input is not proof
A reason tells you where to look, not what to decide. Read the caveat, watch the replay around the marker, and check whether other players on your server show the same reason before you ban.
Common legit causes
- Teleports, respawns and server scripts that set a player's view.
- Vehicles and controllers.
- Lag spikes, which can make the view jump.
Reasons in this category
- Impossible up-down viewKind: RuleThe view jumped straight between looking fully up and fully down, which a mouse can't do. Anti-aim features do this.Legit causes: Server scripts that set a player's view can cause this.
- View angles out of rangeKind: RuleThe view reported angles outside the range a normal game view uses. Anti-aim and view-faking features do this.Legit causes: Vehicles and server scripts that set a player's view can cause this.
- Large turn with no mouse movementKind: RuleThe view turned sharply while the mouse didn't move at all.Legit causes: Teleports, respawns and server scripts that set a player's view can cause this.
- Snap and returnKind: RuleThe view jumped to a new direction and back again almost at once, faster than a hand can move a mouse.Legit causes: A lag spike can make the view jump. Watch the replay around the marker.
- View moved without the mouseKind: MeasuredThe view moved while the mouse was still, more often than legit players in our reference.Legit causes: Controllers, vehicles and server scripts that move a player's view can cause this.
How to read a reason
Each cheating detection lists what stood out in the capture under Why this was detected on the detection page. Every reason has a kind and a strength.
- Rule: input that a normal mouse and keyboard can't produce. Legit setups rarely trigger one, but server addons sometimes do.
- Measured: behaviour compared with how legit players act in their fights. It is unusual, not impossible.
- Strength: Slightly unusual, Unusual or Very unusual, depending on how rarely legit players show the same thing.
