Privacy Policy
At ChrononLabs, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you use our anti-cheat protection system and related services. As in our Terms of Service, it is the user's responsibility to keep up-to-date with our policy.
Information We Collect
- Personal Information: We store only necessary personal information (such as public identifiers, e.g. Steam ID or account identifiers) to maintain records of infractions and enforce bans.
- IP Address, User-Agent & Cookies: For customer security, we collect your IP address, user-agent, and essential cookies during registration and login. These are stored for one week, with data automatically deleted after a week of inactivity.
- Generalized Gameplay Data: We collect anonymized behavioral telemetry, input patterns, and performance metrics during gameplay sessions to improve our detection systems.
- Device Information: Non-personal details regarding your device, such as hardware specifications and operating system.
- Third-Party Service Data: Although we interface with services like Steam, the data collected is public, and we do not import sensitive third-party data.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your personal information under the following legal grounds:
- Legitimate Interests: Essential for preventing cheating, ensuring fair gameplay, and enforcing bans.
- Contractual Necessity: Required for providing our anti-cheat services.
- Legal Obligations: Necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Session Data: IP addresses, user-agents, and cookie data are stored for one week. If there is no activity for a week, all such data is automatically deleted as the user is logged out.
- Ban Records: Information related to infractions and bans is maintained indefinitely to ensure the integrity of our anti-cheat system. Users may appeal bans via our support email, and each appeal is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Gameplay Data: Anonymized gameplay data is stored to improve detection algorithms. Since this data is non-personally identifiable, it is retained as necessary for statistical accuracy.
