How to read a ChrononLabs detection score
Every detection gets a verdict, Cheating or Legitimate, and a percentage. This confuses people because “100%” shows up on both sides. 100% cheating is the worst result a player can get. 100% legitimate is the best.
Read the verdict first
The verdict is what the model decided. The percentage is how sure it is about that decision. It is not a measure of how much someone cheated.
So 100% cheating means the model is certain the player is cheating, and 100% legitimate means it is certain they are not.
A cheating verdict is bad at any percentage
10% cheating does not mean “10% bad” or “nearly clean”. The verdict is still cheating. A lower percentage only means the model is less certain, and careful cheaters can land there. Treat every cheating verdict as a reason to review the player.
A legitimate verdict under 90% is suspicious
Clean players almost always score 90% legitimate or higher. Below that, the model has decided the player is probably legitimate but is not sure. 50%, 30% or 10% legitimate should be treated as suspicious, not as a pass.
What the data shows
- Legitimate: 99.7% of legitimate verdicts are 90% or higher. Only 0.3% fall below 90%, which is why a low legitimate score stands out.
- Cheating: 79.6% of cheating verdicts are 90% or higher. The rest are mostly between 50% and 89%, and they are still cheating verdicts.
Quick reference
- Cheating, any percentage: bad. Review the player.
- Legitimate, 90% or higher: clean.
- Legitimate, under 90%: suspicious. Review the player.
